How to Add a Golf Scorecard Overlay in Final Cut Pro

A Creator Kit Golf export is just a plain transparent PNG, so bringing it into your edit takes the same handful of steps every time: import it, stack it above your footage, resize it, and export. Here's exactly how to do that.

1. Import your exported PNG. In the Final Cut Pro Browser, choose File → Import → Media and select the scorecard PNG you exported from Creator Kit Golf.
2. Place it above your footage in the timeline. Drag the PNG from the Browser into the timeline and drop it directly above the clip you want it layered over — Final Cut automatically stacks it as a connected clip on a higher lane, called a "connected clip".
3. Trim it to length. Drag the edges of the overlay clip to match how long you want the scorecard visible over your footage.
4. Resize and position it. Select the clip and open the Inspector's Transform controls to adjust its size and position on screen. Because the export is a transparent PNG, only the scorecard graphic itself is visible — no keying or masking required.
5. Preview and adjust. Scrub through the section to check placement. Cropped HUD exports are sized for a corner placement; Full Frame exports fill the entire frame for a full-screen reveal.
6. Export as normal. Share your project the same way you normally would (File → Share) — the overlay renders into the final file automatically.
